RETIREMENTS:
Steve
Liebman, CPA
Stephen Liebman, CPA, long-time
Chapter Board Member, on his
retirement effective December 31,
2007 from SSA OIG after more
than 33 years of dedicated Federal
service. The Board wishes Steve a
long and restful retirement. Steve
intends to continue his service to
the chapter as Membership Chair.
Mark
Calderon Retires After 30
Years
with OIG
Mark Calderon, Auditor in OAS
Region II retired in July after 30
years of Federal Government
service.
Mark’s Federal career began
in 1979 with the HEW Audit
Agency which ultimately became
the HHS Office of Inspector
General.
During his career, he worked
on a number of major and complex
issues in Medicaid, Medicare, and
Administration on Children and
AWARDS:
Congratulations to Audit Manager,
Brenda Ryan, and her team for
receiving
the 2008 President’s Council on
Integrity
and Efficiency (PCIE) award
recipients.
The awards will be presented at a
formal ceremony on October 21,
2008, at
the Andrew Mellon
auditorium in Washington,
DC.

Speakers can include AGA National Officers.

interest and/or interest to the public.
·
Conducts a
demonstration, workshop or exhibit of public interest.
·
Engages in
research that produces some important information or finding (such as
“Survey Shows Most Citizens Don’t Understand How Local Tax Money is
Allocated”).
·
Has a member
who publishes an article, appears on a radio or television program or
addresses a meeting of another group as a representative of AGA.
·
Has a member
who wins a local or national award.
